Elevating ‘Our Voices’

This project builds on Ìýa 10 year programme of work based at the Safer Young Lives Research Centre (SYLRC) which has generated knowledge around the value, challenges and tensions associated with supporting the participation rights of children and young people who have experienced child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The aim of this project is to ensure the learning from this programme is properly documented, curated and accessible to others. Through this project, we plan to support others working in the sector to develop safe and meaningful approaches to engaging with young survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Objectives:

  1. To develop an accessible online resource: to organise, and streamline existing resources and develop different ‘learning pathways’ for: practitioners, researchers, donors and young people.
  2. To create new engaging content highlighting key messages from our research to complement existing resources.
  3. To produce a working paper on participation and protection
