Thinking about withdrawing from your course?

Withdrawing from your course is the process by which you formally withdraw from your studies at the 天美传媒. There could be many reasons why you are thinking about withdrawing (e.g. financial, academic, health, visa etc) therefore it鈥檚 important that you make an informed decision. There is no obligation to speak to 天美传媒 support teams/staff, but we really hope you do, to ensure that you fully understand the implications of withdrawing such as financial, visa and accommodation.

Seek advice from support services.

We highly recommend that you seek advice from university support services so that you understand your options and the implications of withdrawing from your course. The following support services/staff are available to help (depending on your course and student status):

  • Personal Academic Tutor 鈥 Contact your Personal Academic Tutor or your course leader for academic advice. If you are a research student, then you should contact your Post Graduate Research Supervisor
  • Student Engagement Team 鈥 Contact the Student Engagement Team who can provide confidential support and advice about withdrawing from your course
  • Student Money Advice 鈥 Contact the Student Money Advice Team so that you understand the financial implications of withdrawing from your course
  • International Office 鈥 If you are an international student studying on a visa, it is important you seek advice from the International Office regarding the implications of withdrawing from your course
  • Apprenticeship Students 鈥 If you are an apprentice then contact your link tutor, speak to the Apprenticeships Team and speak to your employer.
  • Partnership Students 鈥 if you are studying at one of our partners, then please contact your partner institution
  • Halls of Residence Students 鈥 If you are living in halls of residence, you should contact your accommodation provider for advice on accommodation implications
  • Beds SU 鈥 The are independent from the 天美传媒 and can help you understand 天美传媒 processes and advise on your options moving forward

Apply to Withdraw from your course.

If you want to make your application to withdraw:

  1. Login to your Student Account
  2. Select My Studies
  3. Go to Change of Circumstances
  4. Select 鈥淎pply to Withdraw from Course鈥
  5. Complete the form and submit

After submission you will be sent a confirmation receipt of your application, and your request will be sent to our Course team. We will hold your application for a 5-day cooling off period before processing your application. Once, we have processed your application you will receive an email confirming that your withdrawal has been finalised, including any steps which you need to follow (e.g. return loan equipment).
