We are now recruiting to our Student Ambassador Network for 2024/25 academic year!
You can earn money whilst you learn at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½! As a Student Ambassador you will work for the Recruitment, Outreach, Admissions and Marketing (ROAM) team in various roles which will in turn help develop your leadership skills; enhance your presentation abilities; improve communication skills; all whilst gaining valuable experience working with young people and making you more employable upon graduation.
- Working hours: Variable (arranged on an individual basis dependant on availability)
- Appointment Period: October 2024 – August 2025
- Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour
- Location: Luton and Bedford campuses (Community Ambassadors are only based at the Luton campus)
- Full training to be given in early October
Access and Outreach
- Work with learners from all age groups from primary to undergraduate students
- Adhere to child protection and safeguarding protocols
- Attend all training sessions (where applicable) to the role
- Lead on specific workshops, with support from the core team.
- Deliver bespoke mentoring sessions to enhance students understanding of career options and university life
- Develop communication skills
- Improve on your time management
- Work on your team work and team leadership skills
- Gain experience that can be added to your CV
- Improve on your knowledge of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and HE system leading to further career opportunities

Applicant Experience Ambassador
- Assist with Open days and on Campus events throughout the year.
- Deliver weekly Campus Tours
- Assisting with subject tasters and school visits
- Answering questions about your own university experience
- Assisting with academic interview days and auditions
- Presenting informative talks about their student experiences at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Student Recruitment Team
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of the annual UCAS Exhibition
- Develop communication skills

Digital Student Ambassador
- Engaging with prospective students online, providing accurate information and advice.
- To produce creative online content in the form of short videos and/or photos in order to showcase an authentic view of life at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
- Helping to promote student life and university services online.
- Develop communication skills
- Improve on your time management
- Work on your team work and team leadership skills
- Gain experience that can be added to your CV
- Improve on your knowledge of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and HE system leading to further career opportunities

Bespoke training is provided for all roles and is an compulsory part of the job.Ìý Further information including times and dates will be provided at interview stage.
