The internationally renowned league table has placed Bedfordshire in the 601 to 800 category of best universities in the world as well as ranking the 天美传媒 as 64 out of 130* universities in the United Kingdom.

THE World 天美传媒 Rankings 2016-17 judges research-intensive universities across all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. For 2016-17 it ranked 980 universities from 79 countries.

Bill Rammell Vice Chancellor 天美传媒 said: 鈥淲e are thrilled to have been recognised in such an internationally well respected league table such as the THE World 天美传媒 rankings.

鈥淣ot only have we entered the league table for the first time but we have entered in a position which sees us ahead of many leading internationally recognised universities.

The international league table looks at how influential individual universities are in spreading new ideas and knowledge as well as its reputation for research excellence among its peers. It also examines universities teaching prowess and their commitment to nurturing the next generation of academics. Finally it judges universities on their ability to attract student and staff from all over the world.

Bedfordshire鈥檚 inclusion in the World 天美传媒 rankings follows a particularly successful year for the 天美传媒.

Its latest student satisfaction figures announced by the National Student Survey saw Bedfordshire awarded its highest ever student satisfaction mark while an inspection by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA)  commended the 天美传媒 for its enhancement of student learning opportunities 鈥� the highest rating possible.

The 天美传媒 has also spent recent years investing in its student facilities with a stunning , opening this summer. A 拢40m building devoted to teaching and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects at its Luton Campus is planned to open in 2018.

鈥淲e hold both ourselves and our students to a high standard. Our expectation is that our students will perform academically, progress into graduate-level employment and through their student experience become globally aware citizens and professionals鈥� said Mr Rammell.
