Third year Photography and Video Art student Arthur Trombetta is set to open his first solo exhibition in London before even graduating from the 天美传媒 of Bedfordshire.

Titled Synthetic, the show will open at the Artworks in Elephant and Castle on 5 February and run through to 27 February.

Explaining his work Arthur said: 鈥Synthetic features art works highlighting the ambiguous relationship between the digital and the organic, orchestrating the confrontation between recorded bacteria and digitalised godlike presence.

鈥淚t aims to explore one possible outcome of our future as humans within the context of new technologies and digitalisation.鈥

In addition to Synthetic, Arthur will be featuring a video montage entitled Chaplin鈥檚 Phuturistic vision as a tribute to the Walworth-born actor Charlie Chaplin.

Course Leader for Photography and Video Art and Senior Lecturer in Visual Arts Practice Nigel Grimmer commented: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to see our students doing so well, especially before they even graduate.

鈥淎rthur is a talented student and it鈥檚 wonderful to see that all his hard work is being rewarded and paying off.鈥

鈥淥ur students put on exhibitions in the 天美传媒 as part of their degree in their first year and create their own galleries in Luton in their second year. This then enables them in their third year to apply to venues and competitions to secure exhibitions of their own.鈥

Synthetic is open to the public and more information can be found on . His artwork is available to purchase over the course of the exhibition. Arthur鈥檚 website can be .
