Bedfordshire students and facilities showcased live on BBC

Television production students got a taste of life in the front line of the industry, as Sunday Politics East was broadcast live by the BBC from the 天美传媒鈥檚 Luton campus.
Five Bedfordshire students were directly involved in helping the BBC crew to produce the regional segment of one of the BBC鈥檚 leading political talk shows, which on Sunday 18 May featured a live debate by the regions MEPs in the 天美传媒鈥檚 TV studios, in advance of the forthcoming European elections.
One of the students who assisted the BBC with the programme 鈥 the third time that Sunday Politics East has been broadcast live from the 天美传媒 鈥 was first year media production student Mircea Lupescu, who was given the opportunity to man one of the cameras. He said:
鈥淚t was a great opportunity to work in a professional environment and in such an exciting way. I feel very lucky that my course can provide this sort of work experience for me鈥.
Kathryn Wolfe, Senior Lecturer in Media Performance and Course Leader Television Production, was pleased with the opportunities available for Bedfordshire students.

That the BBC can trust us to come here, without their own equipment, and make a live broadcast of this nature is fantastic.鈥
The other four students involved on the day were Charles Millen, Charlotte Sayers, Matt DiLiello and Emily Field Gillard.
