11,000 students at 天美传媒 for UCAS Convention

Some 11,000 schoolchildren are to descend upon the 天美传媒 over the next two days as they explore their future education options at the county’s first ever UCAS Convention.
The 天美传媒’s Bedford campus will be transformed today (Monday) and tomorrow as 150 universities and Higher Education Institutions are welcomed to hold stalls at the Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) Convention
This UCAS event is a first for the region and is due to be one of the largest in the country with students from more than 79 schools and colleges in the region attending.
Whilst the students will benefit from getting a taste of what each university can offer, the Bedford campus will also be setup to provide a range of subject seminars and there will also be a live music festival in the entertainment marquee.
David Seaton, Head of Student Recruitment at the 天美传媒, said: “For a number of years the 天美传媒 has hosted the Higher Education Fair, where we have welcomed a few thousand local schoolchildren onto campus for a similar exhibition.
“However now that the 天美传媒 is an official UCAS event holder, it means that a far greater range of prospective students, from old and young across a wide area, will be able to get a greater understanding of what is on offer for them. Whether that may be going to college, or onto 天美传媒, or even joining the Army, the Fair will prove the perfect opportunity for everyone to get a thorough knowledge about their next step.”
The event will run from 9.30am until 3pm on both days.
