Bedfordshire graduates excel at finding work

Record numbers of 天美传媒 students have successfully found work soon after graduating, according to the results of an annual independent national survey.

The (DLHE) survey found that 92% of Bedfordshire students who graduated last year have found jobs or are in further study 鈥 the highest figure achieved by the 天美传媒.

The number of Bedfordshire students who left the 天美传媒 last year and are now in graduate level employment 鈥 professional and managerial roles 鈥 also increased, by over 8% to 73.5%.

Speaking just before ceremonies that will witness more than 3,500 天美传媒 students graduate, Bill Rammell, Vice Chancellor, said that the 天美传媒 was proud of its students: 

鈥淲e believe in nurturing educated, employable and entrepreneurial global citizens. We are proud of our student body 鈥 they are creative self-starters with the desire to make a real difference.

Cathy Hyde, Head of Careers and Recruitment at the 天美传媒, explained that the employability of graduates is the institution鈥檚 highest concern: 鈥淲e take the employment outcomes of our graduates seriously 鈥 it is a key part of the student experience鈥, she said.

鈥淲e鈥檙e embedding employability into the curriculum, as well as providing many extra-curricular activities that will develop our students into the future talent that businesses want.

"We have great relationships with local and national employers and our award-winning Careers and Recruitment team provides expert advice, guidance and support.鈥

The Destination of Leavers of Higher Education survey is carried out annually by the Higher Education Statistics Agency. The survey collects information on what leavers from higher education programmes are doing, approximately six months after graduation.
