鈥淕oing to university will change your life鈥 says Bill Rammell, Vice Chancellor of the 天美传媒, on the eve of this year鈥檚 Clearing campaign, which opens on Thursday 14 August.

The Vice Chancellor encouraged young people who may be unsure whether they should go into Higher Education to give the 天美传媒 a call:

鈥淚t doesn鈥檛 matter if you don鈥檛 have the best A Level grades - you can still get a good degree. And the confidence and life skills that graduates gain from their university experience make them more likely to succeed in work.鈥

This year鈥檚 Clearing campaign opens just days after an independent national survey showed that students鈥 satisfaction with their experience at the 天美传媒 is at its highest ever level.

More than 84% of Bedfordshire鈥檚 2014 graduates gave the 天美传媒 their seal of approval in this year鈥檚 National Student Survey, which asks final year undergraduates across the country to provide honest feedback on what it has been like to study at their institution.

And with replies to all 22 questions in the survey showing an improvement compared to 2013, with an average increase in satisfaction levels of 5.4%, Bedfordshire is the top-ranking university in the country for improving the student experience.

Bill Rammell, who made enhancing the student experience his highest priority when he joined the 天美传媒 two years ago, added:

鈥淪tudents who choose to join the 天美传媒 this year can be confident we are committed to ensuring they will have the best possible student experience, backed by high quality teaching, outstanding facilities and great support. My message to students is 鈥 whatever your background or ability, you can flourish here at Bedfordshire.鈥

鈥淲e are delighted to be the top-ranking university in the country for improving the student experience in 2014.鈥

This year the 天美传媒 has a team of over 60 specialist and academic staff ready to take calls from students who may be considering their university options following their A Level results. The Clearing hotline number is: 0800 013 0925 and it is open from 8am on Thursday 14 August.

The 天美传媒 is expecting to have courses available in a wide range of subject areas, from Art & Design and Marketing to Computer Science and Social Science, and from Business Studies and Biomedical Science to Law and Sport Science.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to look around the 天美传媒鈥檚 Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes Campuses, check out the student and teaching facilities, visit the student accommodation, have face-to-face meetings with academics and meet the Admissions team. The Campus tours will run hourly every day, from Thursday 14 August to Friday 22 August.
