Potential Impact
There is a growing commitment in UK policies towards strengthening access and quality of maternity services, especially to women who are vulnerable and disadvantaged.
With increasing global migration, ethnically dense communities in pockets of socially deprived neighbourhoods are becoming commonplace in the UK as in other developed countries, the findings from the study will provide much needed information to inform policy, practice and interventions to improve antenatal care uptake and maternal and infant outcomes locally, nationally and internationally.
