Bethanie Ridout

Lecturer of Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation

My name is Beth, and I am a graduate of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ with a BSc Hons degree in Sports Therapy. As a graduate I entered the industry taking a full-time role within a Physiotherapy clinic, then further expanding my role into elite sport working pitch-side and rehabilitation roles within Northampton Football Club and Saints Rugby Football Club. Beyond this experience, I took a leap into the education sector as a college sports studies lecturer which included teaching the very topics I was actively involved in as a sports Therapist. Finding a further passion within being an educator ultimately led to my post at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ where I have been able to implement my knowledge of specialities such as manual therapies, exercise rehabilitation and management of injuries and facilitate the learning of individuals alike myself. Outside of my role at the university, I also practice as a self-employed sports therapist. External to my professional roles, I am a keen netballer and strength & conditioning enthusiast. Other than a love for food and coffee, 90% of my being is generated by all things ‘sport & exercise’.
