Senior Lecturer in Social work

I am an early pracademic researcher with substantial experience in practice. My professional training began at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ of East London in the late 1980s. I graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Social Work and Sociology and a professional qualification in Social Work. I am an alumnus of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ of Luton (Beds), having completed my Masters and Advanced Award in Social Work.

I took up my position as Senior Lecturer in Social Work in 2024. I enjoy adopting a creative and emancipatory approach to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

My current research focus is on Leadership and Identity. Specifically, the intersectionality of societal and organisational dynamics presents structural, social, and material consequences for marginalised groups, centring on global majority leaders exercising leadership within postcolonial constraints. My commitment to the sphere of practice is closely linked to my theoretical work, which has been underpinned by solid knowledge and extensive experience in public and private sector organisations.
