Senior听Lecturer听in听Social Work

Teaching听has always been my听passion听and having taught听social work听since 2013听in both Further and Higher Education settings within the UK, I have thoroughly enjoyed mentoring students听at听undergraduate and postgraduate听levels.

Over the听past听years in my teaching career,听I have developed keen interest in research and do enjoy supervising students in their research projects at听various听levels听whiles听embedding research听into my听teaching听and practice.听I have听also听adopted听a听learner-centred approach听and听used听innovative,听creative听and research-informed听methods听in听supporting听students鈥� learning听at听undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Students鈥櫶齭atisfaction, wellbeing and progress are my top priority and听therefore听aim at听engaging听with learners at various听stages along听their career journey to achieving their听own听set听goals听and听objectives.

As a qualified social worker听and a Senior Lecturer in Social Work,听I believe passionately in听the听principles of听human rights,听freedom of speech or expression,听social justice,听equal opportunities,听and听respect for others regardless听individual鈥檚听background听or identity.听Also,听as a qualified scientist I听believe in听environmental justice, climate change听and听its听impact on society, and that social workers have a duty听as far as raising awareness of climate change听is concerned and playing a key role in tackling听the impact of听climate change听on society听using听evidence-informed social work interventions.
