I have been teaching Bereavement Midwifery in a number of clinical and educational settings since obtaining my post at as Bereavement Midwife in 2017. I acquired a keen interest in teaching and education since qualifying as a Midwife in 2013 at The 天美传媒 of Nottingham. I have had the opportunity to deliver bereavement training in Maternity, Gynaecology and A&E within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust; As well as externally for the British Journal of Midwifery study day in Leeds, the 11th Annual Joint Conference, Transforming Loss, and numerous bereavement study days at Kings College London.
My expertise in Bereavement has been called upon by the MBBRACE-UK Signs of Life Guidance Development Group, National Bereavement Midwives Forum, MBRRACE ESMiE confidential enquiries, Sands, and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Baby Loss.
My passion and dedication to Midwifery has been recognised by numerous stakeholders. I was awarded the Chief Midwifery Officer Gold Award and Mariposa Compassion Award in 2019; and shortlisted as a finalist for both Milton Keynes 天美传媒 Hospital Patient Choice award and the National 鈥淲ho Cares Wins Best Midwife鈥 Award.
I have recently taken up my position as a Lecturer in Midwifery in July 2022 and I look forward to adopting a creative and innovative approach to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Mentoring and professional training is something I take great pride in. Having the opportunity to support others with their career development through mentoring and teaching, along with developing educational resources, undertaking research and sharing knowledge with a variety of stakeholders, will be a career highlight.
