The CAP team are here to help and support all our partners, students and the wider community. We have a range of backgrounds in higher and further education, arts and culture, the public and private sector, sport and administration.

Tim Gregory, Director of Academic Partnerships Operations

With a background in engineering, teaching, and leadership and management in further and higher education, Tim has significant experience of quality assurance and of working in partnership with higher education institutions to deliver higher education in further education. Prior to working in the Centre for Academic Partnerships (CAP), Tim was the Head of Quality at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ from 2010 to 2016. Since 2016 Tim has been the Director of Academic Partnership Operations for CAP.

Within CAP, Tim leads on the operational delivery of both UK and international academic partnerships in line with internal and external requirements. He manages the central staff teams responsible for partnerships operations, including account management and student administration at international partners, and is involved in resource management, planning, analysis, project management, the development of the academic infrastructure to support partnerships and internal and external communications.

He works to monitor and develop the student experience at partners, and provides oversight of quality assurance and enhancement in CAP, in line with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ expectations.

Dr Susan Lin, Partnership Development Coordinator

If you are thinking about becoming one of our valued partners our Partnership Development Coordinator will carry out due diligence and risk assessment at the beginning of the partnership approval process. Susan has worked for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in this role since 2019. Susan works closely with CAP senior management.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ remains committed to exploring new partnership opportunities the most commonly requested partnership models currently are franchise or validated.

Franchised Programmes: this refers to existing ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ programmes which have been approved for delivery on campus, and which may also be approved ‘franchised’ for delivery at an external partner location.

Validated Programmes: these are new programmes devised and developed by a partner that align closely with existing ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ faculty area's of expertise. This courses are then approved 'validated’ by the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ for delivery by that partner as a ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ award.

Richard Miller, Partnerships Contracts and Compliance Manager

Richard has worked for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ since 2012, originally as part of the Finance team in a Central Management Accountant role. Since 2016 Richard has worked within the Centre for Academic Partnerships team, he manages the contracts and compliance for both International and UK partners. This post involves the operational management of partnership contracts, oversight of student numbers and fee reconciliations.

Nazli Rad, Assistant Management Accountant

Nazli has worked for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ since 2019 and is an Assistant Management Accountant. Nazli is based in the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Finance Team but she works closely with the Centre for Academic Partnerships team and our partners. Nazli is responsible for partnership invoicing and financial reconciliations.

Account Managers and Account Coordinators are the link between the Centre for Academic Partnerships (CAP) and the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s partners. They are responsible for developing and sustaining the relationship between the partner and the various functions that support the partnership both centrally and in the academic faculties. As such, the CAP's Account Management team is pivotal to the success of both the business development of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s partnerships and the running of their day-to-day operations. The Account Management team come from a wide variety of backgrounds including academia, the further education sector, and private business, but they all share one thing in common - a passion for ensuring their partners' students receive the best possible experience.

UoB staff can access the site which contains details of both the UoB Academic Link Coordinator and which member of the CAP Academic Management team are assigned to each partner/provision. Q&S publish this information on a monthly basis.


Kay Wheeler - Collaborative Partnerships Manager (Interim)

Kay leads the collaborative partnerships administration team that works on a range of academic courses operating at our international partners. The team, based in the Centre for Academic Partnerships in Luton, is responsible for administrative processes associated with students studying at our international partners.

Our UK partners are supported by a different team within the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.


Collaborative Partnerships Officers

Our Collaborative Partnerships Officers are each responsible for the administration of an assigned group of courses operating at the international partners. They manage the team of administrators associated with these courses, undertaking administrative duties relating to the admission, registration, assessment mark entry, progression and awarding of students at these partners, working closely with relevant staff across the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and at the partners, to provide high quality administrative support.

Jessica Goddard - Collaborative Partnerships Officer

Jess leads the team that provides support for Business (UBBS) & Health and Social Science (HSS) courses operating at international institutions in Guyana, Hong Kong, Jordan, Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago, Vietnam.

Vacant - Collaborative Partnerships Officer

The post holder liaises with International Office colleagues on admissions and leads the team that provides support for courses operating for Creative Arts, Technologies & Science (CATS) & Education English and Sport (EES) operating at international institutions in Egypt, Guyana, Jordan, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan, Spain, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago.


Collaborative Partnerships Administrators (International)

Our Collaborative Partnerships Administrators (International) perform a range of duties for nominated partners and courses which include: registration, course related and assessment administration, processing enquiries from the partner(s) and within the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, examination and assessment administration, and the maintenance of student databases, including unit information leading to progression and award decisions.


Karen Kerr - Collaborative Partnerships Administrator (International)

Karen provides support for courses operating for Creative Arts, Technologies & Science (CATS) & Education English and Sport (EES) operating at international institutions in Jordan, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago.


Joe Church - Collaborative Partnerships Administrator (International)

Joe provides support for undergraduate courses operating at our partner institution in Cairo, Egypt. The courses are full under the remit of three of our four faculties; Creative Arts, Technologies & Science (CATS), Education English and Sport (EES) and Business (UBBS).

Additionally Joe supports CATS provision at our Pakistan partnership.

Honor Healy - Collaborative Partnerships Administrator (International)

Honor provides support for courses operating within Undergraduate Business (UBBS) & Health and Social Sciences (HSS) courses at partner institutions in Guyana, Hong Kong, Jordan, Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago, Vietnam.


Manprit Marvaha - Collaborative Partnerships Administrator (International)

Manprit provides support for Law and Masters courses operating within within Postgraduate Business (UBBS) & Health courses within Health and Social Sciences (HSS) faculty at partner institutions in Guyana, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.


Harry Sutton - Collaborative Partnerships Administrator (International)

Harry provides support for the Business (UBBS) course Masters Business Administration (MBA) at partner institutions in Guyana, Hong Kong, Jordan, Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago, Vietnam.
