Regional Cities East

Current Projects

Independent evaluation of Regional Cities East

The project was set up to respond to RCE鈥檚 request for an independent evaluation of its work to date and the identification of ways in which it can respond to the new economic and political environment.

This study aims to add weight to the analysis undertaken so far and any recommendations for action derived from them by enabling a sample of stakeholders to express their views about where RCE has been successful, where it has been less successful, and ways in which it can continue to support the growth and development of its members in the new climate.

Aims
  1. To ensure that RCE is delivering what its members need and continues to add value in a changing economic climate.
  2. To inform the future direction of RCE in terms of the activities it undertakes on behalf of its city members and partners

Objectives
  • to determine what has worked well and how we build upon this
  • to determine what hasn鈥檛 worked well and the lessons learned
  • to determine the overall value RCE adds to members in terms of what it achieves that cities couldn鈥檛 have done without RCE
Methods

The project will involve a piece of desk research which aimed to sketch what the political and policy framework is likely to be over the next few years within which RCE will be operating.
