Dr Jayne Mitchell Interim Pro Vice Chancellor Education and Student Experience
Dr Jayne Mitchell is Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education and Student Experience at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
Jayne has a multi-faceted understanding of current and future trends in Higher Education sector developments from a variety of roles throughout her career as an academic, senior leader and national and international policy maker.
Jayne has held many senior management and executive positions as Associate Dean at Staffordshire ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, Executive Director of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
Jayne has recently applied her professional and academic training in Public Health and Epidemiology working for Public Health England on the Coronavirus response.
Jayne has contributed to a number of regional, national and international Higher Education sector initiatives, including leading the development and implementation of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education; as a TEF Panel member and assessor; Chair of the AdvanceHE DVC Network Working Group on ‘Learning Gain’; member of the Office for Students Financial Sustainability Strategy Group and a Department for Education appointed European Higher Education Area expert.
Jayne’s career to date reflects her commitment to higher education, quality assurance and enhancement, systems leadership and research interests in physical activity and public health.
